This week we have been doing a variety of things in 5CV!
In Maths we have been celebrating being in the learning pit with long multiplication (e.g. 22 x 34). We have felt what it feels like to fail and we have been determined to get out of the learning pit and succeed. Well done 5CV for persevering and being determined to get it! Watch out for a video on the blog explaining the method of long multiplication – incase you want to practise at home!
In Literacy we have been continuing with Shaun Tan’s book The Lost Thing. We have thought even more about how we would describe our lost thing and written advice for anyone that may come in to contact with our lost things.
In Project we are continuing with our forces experiments (see previous post for our experiment this week).
In class today we started making our Christmas hoop!!! I know can you believe it is that time already? Watch this space for pictures and do come in to have a look at them all being displayed on Thursday 1 December.
Next week in class
Maths – Factors and short division
Literacy – writing our own story of The Lost Thing
Project – Pullies and air resistance
Have a lovely weekend all!
