Air resistance experiment

Today we investigated if different shaped paper made a difference to how quickly the paper fell to the ground. We had a flat, folded and scrunched up piece of paper that we dropped from the same height 4 times each. We noticed that the scrunched up piece of paper fell much quicker than the folded and flat pieces. This is because the air resistance is much less against the scrunched piece of paper whereas the flat piece of paper has a bigger surface area for the air resistance to push against.
