This week in class has been a great one!
We had a wonderful trip to Chinatown on Tuesday and even got a compliment from a member of the public with how well behaved the class was! So proud! We got to practise our Mandarin with shopkeepers and the like in chinatown and then ate a yummy meal in one of the local restaurants.
In Maths this week we have been learning to multiply fractions and add mixed numbers as well as practising our reasoning and problem solving skills.
In English we finished off our recount of Julie having to return her coat to Chingis’ house and have just started planning a story about a refugee arriving to our class. This is because in the story we have been reading Chingis’ and his younger brother Nergui are supposedly refugees from Mongolia.
In Art we have started work on our portraits of a significant person in our lives and they are already starting to look fantastic! Please remember to bring a photo in of the person you are wanting to draw.
In Project we learned about the ‘Gift of the Nile’ in Egypt and why the river Nile was crucial to their survival.
Today we had great fun on our fun run to ‘SAY NO TO CANCER’ and raise money for cancer research. See below for our photos.
Have a great weekend all!
