In 5CV this week we have had a really fun time.
In English we wrote a letter to Phillip Petit, to persuade him to not walk on the wire between the Twin Towers. We have also started our recount as Mr Petit doing this tightrope walk. To prepare for this we had a go at slacklining, to get a glimpse as to how hard tight rope walking actually is.
In Maths we are continuing with decimals. We have been adding and subtracting with decimals as well as answering word problems.
In Project we have FINALLY finished our Egyptian masks and moved on to our Climate Change topic which we are calling Angry Earth.
Next week in class
Maths – Percentages – knowing the equivalent of percentages as decimals and fractions
English – finishing the recount and starting a newspaper article on Petit’s walk between the Twin Towers
