A busy week back for the start of the summer term…I still can’t believe we are in the summer term already.
In Maths we have started our topic on angles. This week we mastered how to use protractors to find angles as well as finding missing angles on a straight line. It was tricky stuff!
In English we have been writing some Haikus (japanese poems that tend to be about nature.) Haikus are three lines and the first and last line are 5 syllables and the middle line is 7. We went in to the forest school garden to gain some inspiration and tried to include similes and metaphors. Here’s one for you by Louis D:
On the water’s top
Lillypads floating like rafts
Water clear but dark
In project this week we are continuing with climate change. We learned about the greenhouse effect and how this means the world is getting hotter. There were some fabulous diagrams and explanations from the class on this.
All in all a great week.
Next week in class
Maths: investigations with angles
English: More Poetry!! 🙂
Project: Still climate change 🙂
Have a great weekend
Some excellent descriptions and diagrams explaining the greenhouse effect in today’s project lesson on climate change.
